Several business owners, entrepreneurs, and community leaders from across Will County will be recognized next month during the Juneteenth CEO Celebration & Awards Gala hosted by the African American Business Association of Will County at the Renaissance Center in downtown Joliet.
The annual event honors individuals whose leadership, service, and business success continue opening doors and making a lasting impact throughout the community.
Among this year’s honorees is Quintin Randall, who will receive the 2026 Micro-Enterprise of the Year Award. Joseph Awinongya Jr. was selected as the 2026 Young Professional of the Year.
Terry and Deidre Morris will be honored with the Long-Standing Business Award, while Lloyd and Estella Craig are set to receive the Michael Austin Clark Lifetime Achievement Award.
Jaron Nabors was named the recipient of the New Business of the Year Award. Nabors said the recognition represents the work of an entire team committed to uplifting the community.
“1st off there is nothing that can be accomplished singular, this is a group acknowledgement,” Nabors said. “I’m truly blessed to be surrounded by a dedicated team that puts the community’s interests 1st and is looking to serve and uplift. While we’re grateful for the acknowledgement, there’s still so much work to be done.
In our communities we haven’t even scratched the surface of all that needs to be done. But we are grateful for what we have been able to do — being impactful, intentional, and purposeful.”

Dr. Nicole Graves will receive the Business of the Year Award, while Wayne and Denise Duncan are being recognized with the Juneteenth Dream Big Award. Corporate Partnership Awards will also be presented to Javier Garibay, Alejandro De La Luz, and Melissa Brown.
The gala will take place Saturday, June 20, at the Renaissance Center. Cocktail hour begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the awards gala at 6:30 p.m.
The evening will bring together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and community members for a celebration centered on leadership, culture, and economic empowerment throughout Will County.
